The Eighteeth Nanopix Dental RVG Sensor captures intraoral radiographs directly to the computer, with an image on screen within seconds of exposure. At 4.5 mm thick it is among the slimmest intraoral sensors available, and Eighteeth positions it as the thinnest in the world, which matters most in a shallow palate, a tight floor of mouth, or a patient with a strong gag reflex. An APS CMOS receptor with a caesium iodide scintillator and a 20 micrometre pixel gives a theoretical resolution of 25 line pairs per millimetre, backed by 16 bit conversion for greyscale depth. The sensor runs over USB 2.0 on 1.5 watts with no separate power supply. Two sizes are listed, at 20 by 30 mm and 26 by 36 mm active area, and the intraoral body is sealed to IP68.
